Stern SmileNot sure if anyone can help me on this one,Confused
We had been out for emergency rations yesterday and got our usual emphatic greeting from Buddy when we got back. He has a really long tail, which he doesnt just wag, he does he full360 degree propeller thing!! Whilst doing said propeller impression, he caught it on the edge of the radiator, didnt notice a thing, carried on wagging like a dog possessed and srayed blood everywhere.Had a look at it and its nothing bad, just a tiny nick, but everytime he hears the door, food, leads, we go out of the room and back in again 5 mins later,he starts the propeller thing and he sets it off again.Shocked
I've tried a rudimentary bandage, that lasted 5 mins then when a flyin across the kitchen, as did the industrial sized plaster!! Hopefully I'll be able to get out tomorrow and get some wound powder, which may help it dry up, but any other suggestions would be welcome....before my house looks like the scene of a horrible forensic incident

Poor Buddy! If any of my animals ever get a cut I bathe it often in salt water, I just add a bit of salt to the water and keep cleaning it, especially the first few days, it stops it getting infected, it always works for me. I also use this tecnique for eye infections, just bathe both eyes with salt water, it clears it up no problem, stops you needing a trip to the vets and I think clears it up quicker anyway.

I feel so sorry for Buddy but I have to say your explanation of the events had me in hysterics, I will chuckle about that all day, it's just the way you word things, sooo funny!! hahaLOLLOL

Hi guys,

Maybe i can help.

Many moons ago I used to be a model (no laughing allowed!) one day i was asked to assist an elderly gentleman in selling a cream/lotion that he had developed specifically to help his wife who suffered from a skin disorder called psoriasis and was constantly in pain and itching from this terrible disease.

When i saw this guy demonstrate this cream and heard what the people that came back to him and said i was amazed and have used this ever since, for both myself and all the hounds.

How it works

the cream is spread thinly over the cut, dry skin area, abrasion. An invisible silicone layer is formed just below the skin and an anti bacterial agent penetrates the infected area below the silicone layer - killing all bacteria. The cream is waterproof for up to 5 hours ensuring that no bacteria can penetrate re infecting the area.

This stuff works i give you my word.

When Brona our hound gave birth to her pups - within 4 weeks they had developed sharp claws and teeth causing a nasty ulcer and mastitis - it was so bad we thought it was turning gangrene. We had to remove the pups and hand rear them. We tried the skin sure prior to taking Brona to the vets (i'd always used it on smaller infections and had been successful) The area of infection was the size of a golfball and was a raw wide open hole. Within 48 hours, not only had the wound healed but all that was left was a red blemish the size of a 10 pence piece - no rawness at all.

This stuff can be bought from the chemist area of Asda for around 6-8 quid - i think the bottle is about 250 ml (30 ml lasts me months) it comes in 3 concentrates dilute (green label) regular (purple label- which i use regularly) and concentrate which is used by hospitals to keep MRSA at bay (blue label) this can only be dispensed from the pharmacy i think. I have access to all concntrates because as it happens the guy who invented this stuff has become a good friend.

I'll be selling this stuff from my website (Hopefully) and i have some free samples left for people who request them -  Dont take my word for it - try it yourself

email me your address via my website if you would like me to send you a sample - all i ask is that you pass the word on when you see how good it is. This product is developed for humans but i've been using it on my dogs for years and the guy who invented it used it on horses. (I wouldnt recommend using the concentrate (blue label) on dogs until i've looked into it further as it may be a little strong.)

There has been a vet range developed and I will be selling it as well as human barrier creams for hands but you wont be able to get the vet range in the shops - not yet anyway. Let me know what you think.

Below is a comment made by a member from another forum who tried a sample i sent him.

'Thumbs up for this stuff, used it on a deep wire cut on my pups leg, I used cut and heal until this arrived and I am well pleased with how it works, also used it on my finger after being bitten by the wifes ferret, healed in no time, excellent, will be buying more once the sample runs out, cheers for the sample Nikki.'

Hi, I am new to this forum & please forgive me for not introducing myself in the right place but for some reason the intro section wouldnt allow me to post, so hopefully will do that later.

I was really interested in the cream & would like to try it out, if you still have any samples that would be great but am quite prepared to buy some.

Hi Sal, Borzaff,

Sorry I took a while to get back to you, i've been snowed under with dogs and work recently. The skin Sure Vet that I was referring to in the post listed will (hopefully) be on the shelves in the next few months. I will be the only outlet in the UK selling this stuff initially and i'll certainly let everyone here know as soon as I get my first batch of stock. I'll be looking for agents too if anyone likes the stuff and is interested.

I do have 2 x 30ml sample bottles left that I can put in the post to you FOC so that you can try it (30ml should last about a month) but this is just regular skin sure not the vet version, it does work in the same way and its the same stuff that ive sent out to people on other sites. If you could email me your addresses to nickie@celtichounds.com that would be great and i'll get it in the post to you this week. Alternatively you may be able to pick up the skin sure with the purple label at Asda in the chemist dept.

Hope this helps
Nix

PS
Sal, as soon as i get some skin sure vet i'll list it in the shop dept at a discounted price for your members x
