...no its not a new recipe idea!Smile. Tegzee mentioned in a previous thread about his dogs liking carrots, and I have met people who regularly fed their dogs a mash of bran, carrots and garlic which they claimed was good for worms. I've been looking into it and it sems that carrots are indeed used as a homeopathic treatment for threadworms in humans, so perhaps hounds are instinctively drawn to food that is 'good' for them (although what nutrients Mia was trying to extract from the wire wool she pinched and hid recently I dont know!!) Garlic is also good for worms and bran is bulky and helps to push matter through the guts, all helping to clear out parasites.
So it probably wouldnt do dogs any harm to chuck 'em a carrot every now and then!

Garlic is great, we use the purree once a week mixed up in there food gives the meal an extra boost aswell. mine has never had worms and i can say that honestly.

We have Ransom, which is wild garlic, all over the garden in the spring and the dogs tend to root it out and chew it, so they must know its good for them! I never thought of using the garlic puree, but will give it a goThumbs Up

you can buy the garlic powder aswell altho i found i always used to sneeze so we where recommended to use the puree and have ever since and i mean its pretty cheap to buy.
